和其他大学一样,奥尔堡大学关注在维持设施品质的同时节约能源。实际上,丹麦建筑法规(Bygningsreglementet)要求,截至2011年和2013年,能源消耗量需分别较2006年的水平减少10%和20%。

电气安装经理Keld Bo Jensen听闻在走廊上使用Base LED射灯替换现有的13W紧凑型荧光光源,从而减少用电量的可能性,因此他邀请Thorn索恩照明顾问Bo Janniche向其展示能源节省的情况。他对结果深感惊讶!

他说:“有趣的是转换为Base LED之后,除了能耗减少30%之外,照明度增加一倍以上(70lux增至180lux),配光也更为出色。此外,LED光源的使用寿命更长,更新和维护的时间相应延长,从而更为经济。”

截至目前,已经安装的射灯超过100盏。教室和演讲厅还使用了Planor MPT和Track (Equaline)等其他Thorn索恩灯具,这样一来,这所大学的整体照明能源需求量降低了20%,舒适程度却有所提升。

功率为12W的Base LED射灯与18W紧凑型荧光射灯的照明水平相当,但能耗却减少了50%,使用寿命延长了4倍以上。该灯具提供2700K和3500K两种配置,拥有出色的显色性达94且可调暗至20%的光照水平。
