布拉克内尔森林委员会总部设在布拉克内尔时代广场办公楼。该办公楼像英国许多典型的办公大楼一样，需要全面翻修，包括照明设施升级。
陈旧的照明设施采用 1x58W 开关启动灯具，用 2 类百叶档板成行排列在整个办公空间的金属板吊顶内。这种灯具设计加上陈旧的技术，使得天花板和墙面显得黯淡无光，令人感到沉闷，达不到最佳办公照明规范。
两种方案进入了考虑范围：一种是带高频调光控制设备的 1x55W TC-L 灯，另一种是带调光设备的 1x42W LED 灯。最终，后一种方案入选，原因是该方案采用充满现代气息的凹陷式 Quattro LED 灯，可达到最大的节能效果。相比现有的 1x58W 开关启动灯具，Quattro LED 灯的联结载荷可节能 37%。最重要的是，相比荧光灯替代方案，Quattro LED 灯在 12 年的时间内，还能节省 45,543 英镑的能耗和维护费用。
照明控制进一步增强节能效果
部分升级还包括使用 Sensa Link 安装白天和在用照明控制设备，确保照明设施以最低能耗达到新的设计规范要求。新的照明度设计使工作台面的亮度达到 450 流明，并安装程控传感器，可根据日光和使用情况，分组调低灯光亮度。引入照明控制设备并升级为 LED 灯后，即可根据需要使用照明，从而实现超过 37% 的节能效果。
适合环境的舒适照明
办公照明已提升至最新照明标准，支持各种办公任务。Quattro LED 灯色彩再现非同一般，光品质超强，将工作环境转化为既明亮又充满活力的空间。如今，办公室已成为舒适的工作场所，既适合在计算机屏幕上完成阅读、写作和工作等各种日常任务，又方便人与人之间的沟通交流。照明技术升级后，办公室也已经翻修一新。这项技术进一步利用了空间内部的反射光，进而增强了节能效果。
作为翻修的一部分，应急照明设备也用 Thorn Voyager LED 系列灯具升级为 LED 灯。新增了 Explorer 应急照明控制设备，因此有了遍布整个大楼的中央应急检测设备。
